What we are looking for:

Profile
  • Past proven experience in Factory Operations and Maintenance and/or a degree in Engineering or Chemistry and/or MBA or any equivalent business qualification
  • Five or more years of experience in a leadership position
  • Leadership skills, personal integrity, respect, and values
  • Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues
  • Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
  • Effective communication in English and French, both written and verbal
  • Strong administration and self-organisational skills
  • Ability to manage autonomously and be proactive
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft office – Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint

Main responsibilities

  • To be responsible of all Factory staffs
  • To maintain good communication and relations with the various stakeholders of the sugar industry
  • To chair daily production meeting, weekly technical meeting, crop monitoring committee, etc
  • To ensure Safety & Health of personnel and promote a Safety & Health Culture
  • To ensure the integrity of plant and machineries
  • To follow up progress of work during off crop as well as critical Spares Management
  • To validate payments – over 4 miles, contractors, etc
  • To ensure cane crushing program & planning are met
  • To follow up and manage costs expenditure
  • To prepare Budget
  • To prepare Capex proposal and implementation
  • To drive innovation, excellence, and sustainability
